Tara Reid started with commercials when she was a kid and then was noticed when she appeared on Saved by the Bell: The New Class. She's been accused of acting, but she's still managed to play the parts she was playing with ease. Within a short time and a few films, she finally got her breakthrough in the form of Bunny was made a part of The Big Lebowski. It was an important stepping stone for her career, and she started receiving offers from movies like Urban Legend and Cruel Intentions. It wasn't American Pie the cult movie about teenagers and sexual encounters which established Reid in the spotlight as a promising actress in Hollywood in her part as virgin Vicky. This did not lead to the big lucrative Hollywood career. Reid failed to make it big in Hollywood with movies like Josie and the Pussycats. Reid did play an appearance in American Pie 2 for a couple of minutes, however this didn't help her decline in career. Reid's off-screen blunders, a publicized and disastrous plastic surgery, and her numerous blink-and miss appearances have resulted in her becoming more of a party-goer or designer than an actress.
