Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy born 25th November 1968 in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress who has been recognized for her significant contribution in American television. She is renowned for her stellar performances in the American television show Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons playing prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy was also able to showcase her acting skills in films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. In addition, she wrote and directed these films. Her acting career started in 1988 when she and her sister acted as twin Callgirls on Dead Ringers. She spent a short time on Broadway as part of Buddy The Buddy Holly Story. The Buddy Holly Story, and then delved into the world of science fiction in 1993 as the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. The following year she made her most famous break when she was cast in NBC's smash drama Law & Order to play District Attorney Assistant Claire Kincaid. She received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress as well as the Emmy Award. Parker was also the winner in 2001 of the Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in the Broadway production Proof.
