Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs and even to at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name was Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing an interest in music, singing and playing the piano in a church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The very first song to feature her voice was called Stalk You, a Japanese house 12; since then it has been remixed and a component of her set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for all of the country during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be invited to sing for the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
