Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on the 17th of October 1992), is an Indian actress. She appears primarily in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. In 2018, she won the National Film Award Best Actress Award for her performance as the role of actress Savitri. Also, she has received three SIIMA Awards as well as a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the child of producer of film G. Suresh Kumar, and actress Menaka G. Suresh. She started her career as a child performer during the 2000s, and later returned to films after studying fashion design. She starred in her debut major character in Geethaanjali (2013), a Malayalam movie. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy took on her very first Malayalam projects, and then started working on projects in Tamil at the same time. Her debut film was A. A. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), opposite Vikram Prabhu. The film was not a success at the box office. A busy schedule during 2015 resulted in her having choose to stay out of movies that she was already developing, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, in order to take on bigger projects. She consequently worked on two films together with Sivakarthikeyan within a short time, Rajini Murugan and Remo and also played the leading part for Prabhu Solomon's Thodari and Dhanush.Her Telugu debut was planned to be Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The film has been delayed since 2015, with speculation of a release date after September in 2020, under the different title, Janakitho Nunu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), featuring Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy was cast as Vijay on screen in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on 17 January 2017.
